AI coding analytics: see where
you rank

LobsterOne is a macOS menu bar app that tracks token usage, cost, and productivity for developers using AI coding tools — with a private dashboard and a global leaderboard. Privacy-first: we never see your code or prompts.

New · Eco Score

Measure the climate impact of your AI-assisted coding.

Every token has an energy cost. Every marathon session heats a datacenter. Eco Score is the first sustainability metric built for developers using Claude Code, Codex, and other frontier coding tools — a single 0–100 score with three actionable sub-scores, surfaced right in your dashboard.

Model discipline

Haiku for grep. Sonnet for work. Opus for the hard stuff. The right model for the job.

Cache efficiency

Stable context gets reused dozens of times. A measured ratio, not a guess.

Session concision

Short focused sessions beat marathons. Attention compute is O(n²).

FAQ

We don't see your code. Ever.

Seriously. Not your code, not your prompts, not your conversations. Here's exactly what we do collect.

Only usage metadata: token counts (input, output, cache), the model used, cost, session identifiers, tool names, and productivity counts like lines added/removed, PRs, and commits. We also collect OS type and app version for compatibility.

No. We never see, store, or transmit your source code, prompts, conversations, or AI responses. Only aggregated usage metrics and metadata flow through our system. The actual content of your work never leaves your machine.

LobsterOne connects to your AI coding tools via their built-in telemetry support. The Mac app configures a telemetry endpoint — no background agents, no SDKs injected into your code, and no processes running alongside your editor.

LobsterOne is model and tool agnostic. It works with any AI coding tool that supports OpenTelemetry — including Claude Code, Codex, and more. Cursor is supported through the Claude Code plugin (claude code in terminal mode) — we don't have visibility into Cursor's internal AI models, only the Claude Code usage within Cursor. Your dashboard tracks usage across all connected tools.

Only you can see your full dashboard and detailed usage history. If you're part of an organisation, your org admin can see aggregated totals (tokens and cost) per team member, but never individual sessions or event-level details.

Raw event data is automatically deleted after 90 days. Pre-computed daily summaries (token totals, session counts) are kept for long-term trends, but these contain no granular event details — just aggregate numbers per day.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. API keys are stored as cryptographic hashes, never in plaintext. Our infrastructure runs in isolated private networks with no public internet exposure to the database layer.

The menu bar displays your real-time token consumption and quota usage as a percentage — updated every few minutes during active use. One click opens your full dashboard in the browser.

Yes. Contact us at support@lobsterone.ai and we'll remove your account and all associated data.
