What we collect
LobsterOne collects telemetry metadata only. This includes token counts, model identifiers, API call timestamps, session durations, cost estimates, and code-change metrics (lines added/removed, commits).
We never collect your source code, prompts, AI-generated outputs, file contents, or any personally identifiable information beyond what you provide during account creation (email, display name, GitHub profile).
How we use it
Your telemetry data powers your personal dashboard — usage charts, cost breakdowns, and productivity metrics. Aggregated and anonymized data is used for community leaderboards, public stats, and the metrics ticker on our landing page.
Data retention
- Raw telemetry events: retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Daily rollups: retained indefinitely (aggregated, no individual event data).
- Account deletion: when you delete your account, all associated data — raw events, rollups, and profile information — is permanently removed within 30 days.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate LobsterOne:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — infrastructure hosting, database (RDS), and message queuing (SQS).
- AWS Cognito — authentication and user management.
- GitHub OAuth — optional social sign-in and profile linking.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
